I am a contractor, and Michael has worked with me the past three projects in a row. He is my go to guy for all things audio, visual and lighting controls. Michael is personal, extremely knowledgeable, and draws on a wealth of experience. All of my clients love him. He is great at interfacing with all parties involved in a project to unite the many areas of work together and is really willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone’s needs are met... For my last job, I solicited bids from three different companies, and thankfully, Michael’s came back the best. In truth, he is the only one I wanted. I would recommend Haustech without reservation to anyone looking for this kind of service.

A challenge I face, being a General Contractor, is finding reliable subcontractors I can depend on to complete their projects as promised and in a timely manner. Haustech not only sets appropriate expectations so that there are no surprises, they manage to often exceed them. I met Michael a few years ago through a friend and recently have been working with him on the construction of a new home in Beverly Hills. Full AV buildout for 6,000 SF house. 10 TVs, 15 sound zones, indoor/outdoor, fully distributed audio and video, plus several off the run solutions to user specific issues (i.e. ability to move telephonic conference calls to ceiling mounting speakers in the shower to hear calls in "listen only" mode).... Michael Fehmers is a very creative and tasteful person in the high tech world. He is an excellent evaluator of the specific needs of a client. I am a film producer and desired my first whole home automated system for our remodeled Brentwood home. Michael came up with a set of insightful and probative questions and once answered he set out to design a trio of options for my wife and I. It is now 9 months later and we love our system and use it in a great many unanticipated ways. We actually watch more television and movies but better programming due to Michael's design, and the ease of use. We listen to more of our music and more new music on Pandora and Slacker Radio. Michael was always prompt, courteous, and had an excellent solution to the few issues we had as we're getting used to our system. He was always there to stand behind his design as well as his system. We continue to use him as we expand our viewing and listening. He will be the one to install a new Media room when we finish the next phase of our renovation and addition. All of this has been accomplished with the greatest attention to detail and with the special needs of a much loved 1926 Spanish Revival home in mind. We recommend Haustech and Michael with the utmost of enthusiasm.

Michael from Haustech designed a low voltage smart system for a spec house that I built in Mar Vista. It was my second time building a home with smart home technology. Michael took it to a new level and for much less than I had expected. I had used another company for the previous home and they did a good job, but they sold me a package deal and they were way more expensive than Haustech. If you aren't an expert on tech, you have to rely on your contractor to tell you what you can have and for what price, or what you may not need. Unlike the first company that sold me their package, Michael is flexible and custom designs the system for the customer. He told me where I did and didn't need him—for example I already had an electrician on site and he could do certain things. And Michael is a pro. He can talk to the electrician who has specialized knowledge, to me who knows a little bit about a lot of stuff, or he can talk to the homebuyers who know very little jargon, but just want what they want. Michael can translate it to all of us. Michael is a nice guy, but not sales-y which is a big turn off to me. Since that project, Michael is definitely my tech guy.

Michael Fehmers is WONDERFUL...so easy to work with. He is readily available to provide excellent customer service, before, during and after installation. I wouldn't hire anyone else!

Michael is creative and energetic. I enjoyed working with him on our pool house A/V project. He introduced our family to Control 4, and now we are not sure how we ever lived without it. I would recommend Haustech.
